A thought from the brilliant @alliechisholmsmith - might illness be stillness? Something I need to think about. Does it make sense to power through as if I'm superhuman, as if there is a free-and-clear other side of this thing? Or is it a time to go inward, go deeper, not more, just me.

This gets more annoying every time I have to do it! Eventually if my health dictates it, I'll end up taking the trickier ones out. Colonoscopy checked out fine - no bowel cancer to worry about! Back to the drawing board, but still really good news.

So grateful to my friend Jay for not only building me a woodshed, but delivering it, reassembling it, and filling it up with a cord of wood! This is going to make my winter so much more bearable. Here's me placing the very first piece of wood. 🔥 💛

Brent Crater in Algonquin. Only discovered about 70 years ago but occurred half a million years ago! There's so much about our earth we just don't know.

Check out this absolutely ostentatious tree! On the Limestone Trail at Brent Campground in Algonquin. 🏕

The boardwalk at the bottom of Brent Crater in Algonquin Park, leading out to Lake Tecumseh, a lake so alkaline that acid rain doesn't affect it.

It was a little chilly some mornings at the campsite but nothing like camp chores to warm you up!
