Ovary-achiever – Part 2

Ovary-achiever!

Lake Superior gives major crone vibes.
Moss phlox comes in a lot of cheery colours. They branch out and spread the joyful colours. They look great in garden bed edging but a lot of people like them embedded in the yard.
We were taught lies about weeds. In my garden, dandelions are not weeds. These plants are edible, beautiful, and predictable. In my garden, a plant is only a weed if it is harmful to the ecosystem I've created. Harm includes outperforming native plants or desired non-natives, creating changes to the soil to make other plants less likely to thrive, attracting harmful non-native pests, or causing harm to humans or animals through defense mechanisms. The only noxious weed on the property is creeping bellflower, and it's a nightmare plant. Give me dandelions any day.
My beloved serviceberry, also known as juneberry or Saskatoon berry. Used in the traditional indigenous staple #pemmican. The biggest tree I've planted, and it is very content. Looking forward to its bounty.
You won't know they they are called Jack in the Pulpit until you get in your knees and look.
Following Venus.
Blue cohosh. Delicate tiny yellow flowers turn into dark blue berries that rarely, very rarely, turn into another plant. Maybe they have to pass through the belly of an animal before reincarnation is possible.
Lady's Mantle has very unassuming flowers, but so many other wonderful features. I love the way it unfolds itself.
Check out that #proboscis 😲
