Went to Erika's in Dwight just before closing after I got the news that I have ovarian cancer. If you want the full story, link is in the bio. We aren't done yet. ♥

Three years at the same event... So glad the universe put this woman in my path. She gives me care, gives me peace, gives me space - she shows me myself. This connection is so sacred to me and I hope I treat it always with the reverence it deserves. I love you, Kai.

I feel like I'm really missing something. This has been such an intense journey. It's lonely when you're not alone. Its disconnecting, it's distracting, it's feels like anything can get taken away. Yet I see this picture and can't imagine where that ovary would have rested, all mutilated and wrong. There's no clear absense, there's no cut-out. It's gone, but I'm not. I can't hold a space for it but I will always remember life with it - not just because of the pain, but because of a certain balance I had and didn't even realize. I've cut other pieces out of myself, physically and metaphorically - and I've always found my way. ☘️

View from my medical hotel - aka RVH in Barrie. Thanks to my stepmom for the flowers. Haven't seen her in years, amazing to catch up but under difficult circumstances. Funny, when people have a glimpse of you - she knew me from about 9-15. A very difficult time for me. I think we understand each other better now. ♥
